Start with Water, Not Caffeine: A 60-Second Morning Glow Habit

That first sip of coffee feels like life itself in the morning—but what if your body actually needed something else first?

Before reaching for caffeine, drink a full glass of water as soon as you wake up. Let it gently rehydrate your body after hours of sleep before introducing coffee or tea.

After sleeping, your body naturally becomes mildly dehydrated, which can contribute to grogginess, headaches, and low energy. Water helps “wake up” your system by kickstarting hydration, circulation, and digestion. When you add caffeine after that, it tends to feel smoother and more effective rather than harsh or jittery.

Keep a glass or bottle of water by your bed so it’s the first thing you see in the morning. Drink it slowly before your phone, before scrolling, and before your coffee routine begins.

Try swapping the order tomorrow morning and notice how your body responds when water comes first.
